It's corn on the cob season! Are you looking for the perfect way to cook your corn on the cob?
We have four ways you can't go wrong with below! Keep in mind that older corn might need a few minutes longer to cook, while super fresh corn from a local farm (or your backyard!) might need a few minutes less.
So get that butter, salt, and a few extra napkins ready. It's time to make corn on the cob!

1. Boil it
This is the way mom did it: Boil a huge pot of water, stick the corn in, and cover. Leave for 5-7 minutes then turn off heat and leave for a few minutes more. Perfect every time. If you like the traditional tried and true, this is for you.
2. Microwave it
When I first heard about this method I thought no way was this going to work. But after my first time of trying it? I was hooked on this as the best way to cook corn on the cob. Simply put 2 ears of corn — husks on! — in the microwave for 6 minutes. When they're done, simply cut off the bottom end and the husk will slide cleanly off. This works because the corn steams inside the husks, cooking it perfectly! If you have more corn, simply add about two minutes cooking time per ear.
3. Air fry it
Shuck your corn, cook at 375 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes. Done!

4. Fry it
My friend Charlotte Linde, the editor of Macaroni KID EATS, tried fried corn on the cob at a local BBQ joint and it was AMAZING. So she figured out how to do it at home.
Here's how to do it: Heat vegetable oil to 350 (about an inch thick) in a large cast-iron skillet or pot. Fry ears of corn, turning to cook all sides until lightly golden brown. This takes about 3 to 4 minutes. Place on paper towels to drain and season! She likes her fried corn on the cob seasoned with parmesan cheese, parsley, and salt and pepper. Yum!
